How the Round Image & GIF Maker works
Upload any photo or animated GIF and a circular (or oval) selection appears over it, which you can drag to reposition and resize using the handle in the corner — or type exact pixel values into the Left, Top, Horizontal Diameter, and Vertical Diameter fields for precise control. Leave the diameters equal for a perfect circle, or uncheck "Lock to perfect circle" and set different values for an oval crop that matches a tall or wide photo.
If you're working with an animated GIF, the preview plays the original animation live underneath the selection so you can see exactly what will end up inside the final crop before exporting. Every frame gets the same circular crop and optional border applied, then re-encoded into a new animated GIF — so the result still loops and plays exactly like the original, just round.
Turn on the circular border to add a solid-colored ring around the edge of the crop, useful for making the round shape stand out against any background it's placed on — pick any color and thickness. Everything runs locally using your browser's own canvas engine, so nothing is ever uploaded to a server.
